Unreal Tournament 3 was pretty nice. If you liked UT 99 and UT 2003 then you will probably like UT3.

I might have the backupexec problem fixed. I think it just needed new tapes. I had to buy some new tapes of course. First I bought the wrong ones, WORM type. Then I went back and bought the correct LTO3 tapes 400GB/800GB's. I have done a few successful jobs now. I also had to change a few settings and things to get the thing to work still.

I also have my SQL 2005 install done, database restored, and documents copying over now. Coyping 300,000 documents takes a long, long, time. If it was just one file, it would be much quicker.

I would like to get the production database upgraded to 2005, right now it is on SQL Server 2000. It just takes some money. Before I can go 64-bit I need to have SQL Server 2005.

Well a few thoughts.

I am working on some documentation on the computer network.

I am installing a Windows Server and SQL Server to test an application. Also copying abou 300,000 documents to the test server.

I just spent a few hours rearrangin my office. Takes a long time to get the cables taken care of for all of the computers.

I am cleaning and arranging files. Takes a long time when you have tons of them.

Being Famous?

Being famous is in our grasp. The old cliche of networking, who you know, etc. Well it is somewhat true you know.

But you still have to have talent too.

Why do I mention this? Because knowing someone famous is cool, but it is not out of anyones reach. You just have to reach out.

I am on the phone with a friend from a long time ago.

We used to be in a band called House Arrest. We played in clubs and such. I was 16, how I thought it was cool to be in a bar when I was 16.

He is having all kinds of contacts back and forth wanting him to play keyboards and working two jobs.

Re-coding a video. Man the i7 is blazing fast.

Time go go home. Well not really, on to another place to work on another computer.

I called Dell to order a desktop to use as a server. Just as suspected she flipped out when I said that I was to use it as a "server".

I have an odd problem with my Vista. The task bar search does not work when out of the docking station.

So far today I have called service on 3 printers. Two of the printers give dirty prints, and the other has a bad sensor saying that there is a paper jam and there is not.

Trying to restore data off of a hard drive, dont' think that is going to happen. Bad drive.

Burned a few CD's.

Moving some 2.9 GB of email around, burning some to disk.

It is time to go home. I finished the day with a printer, I believe it has a bad fuser. Well the fuser was replaced becuase of a 50 fuser error, and the new fuser was bad.

I have been working getting the tape backup machine to work correctly. Backup Exec reports that there are problems communicating with the tape device. Either that or something else.
